What an awesome book. Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman are such a great writing team. I first fell in love with their writing when I read The Illuminae Files. That was my first taste of Science Fiction and I loved it. I've had this book on my shelf for a long time and just kept putting it off and I don't know why. It was such a fantastic story. I am so so SO conflicted about this book and series.
I have read raging reviews and I have been ogling those covers for so long, but at the same time the authors' disrespectful behaviours have come to my attention, and I do not wish to monetarily support similar endeavors.
Dropping this for now in case I think about the possibility of library copies in the future... ...more

Fast paced and action packed. Definitely a sci-fi thriller/space opera. Plenty of twists and surprises with a decent dose of heart and #allthefeels at the end. I enjoyed all the Sci-Fi Easter eggs with nods to Doctor Who & The Fifth Element.
