I really should have liked this book. I love mysteries. I've read all of Sherlock Holmes (albeit a long time ago). But to paraphrase a line in this book it was just all too twee. It was a cute premise: the descendants of Holmes and Watson going to school together. But very little of it went beyond cute. This was really fun and creative. I’m a fan of anything Sherlock Holmes, so I was excited to find these books. I love that they are the decedents of Holmes and Watson and that they have the twos same traits but also their own. Fun story and can’t wait to see where the rest of the books go.

Second read for book committee.

Thinking high school only. Rape, drug use, underage drinking, murder, psychpath, put it there for me. Excellent, fun mystery that keeps one guessing until the end. Should appeal to quite a few students. 4 to 4.5/5.

I found this portrayal of sherlockian characters a bit better than Lock & Mori
