I will never understand why this book needed 680 pages and 90 chapters. I was listening to the audiobook and Lia's inner monologue was dragging the whole book along.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I knew where everything was going and I was there for it. But, at multiple time points, the plot felt like it could have moved forward a little bit faster.

I loved all three books that were in this trilogy. They each had something to offer and the more I got to know Lia the more I liked her character. I think she grew and matured with each book and I loved to see it. I also loved Rafe and Kaden equally but Kaden's character took a while for me to like him.

This is how a series should end. (Looking at you GOT) 😂 JK, however as I was reading this last volume of the Remnant Chronicles the thought came to me that it definitely could be recommended to GOT fans. It’s got the intrigue, twists, character development, family trauma, assassins and evil villains that we love and the story was fantastic. This may now be one of my all time favorite series.
