This story was just a okay story to me with Audrey being a girl that love science and medicine. She sees herself working with the dead with her uncle. But being a lady that is frown upon in her time. She's to sew and knit with girls her age and gossip. But she doesn't want to do that. So why working with her uncle she is determined to find out who Jack the Ripper really is. With the help of Thomas a boy that works with her uncle too. They out doing their own investigation. With women that worked ...more

It took me months to finish this book, because Audrey Rose is an example of a heroine that is just Too Stupid To Live! I thought I met several exemplary candidates for the TSTL title before, but no AR takes the first place by far! The amount of times she idiotically put herself in a situations where she could have been seriously hurt of killed is insane, my eyes rolled the whole book. Overall it’s not a bad mystery and a fairly decently written novel, but she is just insufferable.

This fictional story influence by the most well known serial killer was both new , interesting, and smart . It has slow moments abundantly throughout but makes up for it with lovable Or infuriating characters .

It was a pleasure to read the bantering between the two leads that gives a bit of a Sherlock and Watson touch with a dash of f
