This one was really good! I was looking for something a bit different in YA and saw a description of this - time traveling to Victorian London and it caught my eye. The cover is better on some of the other versions, this one is a little boring to me but the book is very cute and the characters are engaging. Long story short - an average 16 yr old girl who likes gossip, clothes, boys and hanging out with friends is part of an extraordinary family, one who can travel in time. I enjoyed the travelling to different eras, but other than clothing you don't get too much detail on the different times. I liked the detail about the clothing but I wish there was more that just that. You didn't really get too much description regarding the setting, but I didn't really find that distracting.

This book was good, but not great. It made me sad that the main character considered herself timid, but she was not actually timid at all! She was brazen, and brave, and awesomeish.
That said, this book moved way too slow, and I am hoping the second one picks up. As it stands, I am not sure what (if anything) actually happened. Just a bunch of character development and not a real book. Flowed easily though.

I enjoyed this and am very interested in getting to know the characters better. This is a promising start to a trilogy. Lots of mystery to uncover! I really want to know more about Lucy and Paul and am curious about what the Count is really up to.
