Georgina and her family sleep in their van while the mother works several jobs to try to save up money to get a place to live. Georgina sees a reward poster for a dog and realizes that the quickest way for her to make money is to steal a dog and get the reward money. She makes a detailed list on how to steal a dog, but soon realizes that she may have made a mistake. I really liked this book because it really made me feel sorry for Georgina's situation, and made me think about what I would do in her situation. It has a great message for kids, despite its title.
