I read this book aloud to my children. It is a re-read for me, but I was only nine years old when I first read it. I never did finish the entire Chronicles of Narnia, so now I am reading the series with my children.

I read this as the first book in The Chronicles of Narnia, which is apparently a controversial move. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was published first, and this book last, but it is a prequel to The Lion... In my edition, which includes all the books in the series, it comes first, and the notes say that this is the order in which Lewis preferred that they be read.
