I have high hopes on this one perhaps because of the cliffhanger on the second book, despite the fact that I’ve been hearing a lot of awful and negative reviews about it.
But unfortunately they were true.

Mockingjay is the exceptional conclusion to Suzanne Collins The Hunger Games Trilogy. Coming from someone forced to read the first book, by good friends, I am now a total Hunger Games fanatic. This was a heart wrenching, mind blowing series and Mockingjay was its crowning jewel.

I feel that this series moved slightly downhill with each successor. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the feel of this book out of the three, but I kept reading it. one thing that bugs me with these books is the author's cliffhanger words and /or sentences at the end of each chapter. Its irritating, but also a ploy to get you to keep reading. The motivating factors to keep reading these aren't the plotlines, but the need to read on a bit more after a bomb is dropped at the end of each chapter.

There's a feeling I get when I finish a series I really like. A sort of hollowness in my gut. I have that feeling now.
