What Members Thought
This slim read was excellent. Cisneros really has a way with words. Each chapter is a story of maybe 1-2 pages (so, you really do need a way with words to make it work). This is the story of a Latina girl growing up on a street in Chicago, and the people in her life and on her street. Everyone can relate to the relationships, the joys, the heartbreaks, and the desires we all had when young to get away.
