Shelves: contemporary, made-me-think, you-should-read-this

A very enjoyable novel with a well-developed plot. For me, the only slight issue was the lack of originality. At time I felt that the author was trying too hard to be thought-provoking and controversial. However, it was thought-provoking and I feel that this novel would be appropriate addition to womens writing courses, as a contemporary piece of writing on the subject.

Also, I felt that the characters could have had a bit more depth and development, but the novel is undoubtedly worth reading.
