An interesting read -- not a 'grab a mug of hot chocolate, and sink into the sofa for a delicious fiction novel' type read, but certainly one I can respect as a solid work. A view into the brain of an autistic boy -- it may not be accurate to how autistic people see the world, but it hints at the differences between the autistic brain and the 'average' brain. My mom is a special education teacher, and most of what I read is acurate in execution (the rocking, the violence, the noise etc) but whet ...more

I absolutely loved this. It's a bit sad, a bit sweet. I have never had a book bring me into the mind of someone who is Austistic. Brilliant! You feel yourself how the world might feel too tight, too itchy at times, and baffling to navigate. A truly great read. ...more
