What Members Thought
An interesting read -- not a 'grab a mug of hot chocolate, and sink into the sofa for a delicious fiction novel' type read, but certainly one I can respect as a solid work. A view into the brain of an autistic boy -- it may not be accurate to how autistic people see the world, but it hints at the differences between the autistic brain and the 'average' brain. I absolutely loved this. It's a bit sad, a bit sweet. I have never had a book bring me into the mind of someone who is Austistic. Brilliant! You feel yourself how the world might feel too tight, too itchy at times, and baffling to navigate. A truly great read.

I've just finished this and really enjoyed it. Haddon created a 15 year old boy with autism to tell the story - this worked very well and had obviously been researched thoroughly.
