4.5 stars. I really liked this book. Set in a world where "normal" England and the world of Faerie are separated only by a wall, Stardust follows the story of young Tristran Thorn on his quest to retrieve a fallen star to win the heart of the most beautiful girl in his small town. My 2nd Neil Gaiman book, that I loved listening to. He's a great writer as well as a story teller. I wasn't disappointed at all with this book and love the fairy story telling for "adults" it just makes me feel like a kid again when I listen to it. I cannot wait to listen to more of his work. ...more

What made this a can't-put-her-downer was, of course, Gaiman's incredible prose. Man, can he write.

I got very frustrated with the beginning of the story, as it seemed to spend too much time on Tristran's origin. It got much better after that and then things came together even more in the end. ...more
