I couldn’t read this fast enough! But the ending was a let down. Usually I have an idea of how I would have ended it, but I’ve got nothing. Maybe it’s sleep deprivation.
I almost gave this 4 stars, but I would definitely be happy to reread it and recommend it despite the ending.

My third or fourth reread, but I can appreciate for the first time just how awkward the opening is, specifically Calvin's introduction to the family, even if the end chapters save it. A classic, only somewhat dated. ...more
