I can’t even begin to explain how this book made me feel. I was crying so hard by the end. I’ve never cried this much reading any book. This is about the family, both born into and found family. It’s about mother’s love for her child. It’s about the world we live in and how it’s going to hell. But mostly it’s about the deep love that can never be broken and that lasts forever. That of mother and her child. I love you Charlotte McConaghy. Don’t ever stop writing.

Book club pick. This was very interesting. The family was intriguing and the idea of an island to hold all the world’s seeds is creative. I can’t say I truly liked the way the book ended however I am also not unsatisfied. Looking forward to the discussion with the book club!
