The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner was such a great story! It effectively wove together the stories of two women and a child who lived centuries apart, but seemed to have much in common. Nella, Caroline, and Eliza were brave, strong, and resilient. The story captivated me from the beginning and the ending was perfect! I thought the narrators were spot on for each of the characters as well. Really enjoyed this one on audiobook.

I kept thinking that this book would get more interesting and have more depth. It didn't. It was just an ok read. I didn't hate it and since it kept my interest in the car, I will give it a 2. The current timeline was the most interesting because I wanted to see what choices she will end up making. The characters from the past were less interesting. If the characters had been developed better and had more believable storylines, I would have enjoyed this more. ...more

I read this book for my book club... I am not sure I would have found this otherwise. I absolutely loved it! I loved the story. I loved the narration! I just loved everything about it.
I have no doubt it will be one of my favorite books of 2022!
