Damn, that was some crazy shit!!! The last bunch of chapters had my head spinning. I had no idea what was going on, but I know it wasn't good. Lordy, my heart was racing. But it was good!

I'm very eager, yet keeping my expectations low, for the movie. It looks awesome, so I hope they stick to the book.

I'll post full review tomorrow. But I gotta say, Four is pretty amazeballs!! I can see the hype around him and find it accurate. He's so sweet and protective and flawed and just all around awesome

I think I ruined the book a bit for myself by watching the movie first. There were just no real surprises or big stand out moments. It was easy to read and for the most part it was enjoyable. Just not the stand out I was expecting!

A Book and A Record

I resisted Divergent. I resisted it hardcore, mainly because there was SO much hype surrounding it, and every one was gushing about it (or so it seemed). Then I saw it on sale at the bookstore for $4, and I decided to pick it up. Then it sat on my shelf for a few weeks before I finally cracked it open. I’m sure (if you've gotte

With a very full review schedule and books piling up on every surface, I just could not work it into my review schedule. Finally the book stars aligned and, thanks to my Amazon anti-trust lawsuit book credit, I’ve now finally read the whole series. Whoot! If you’ve been living under a book covered rock like I had been, let me just say OMG. If you like The Hunger Games or dystopian nov ...more

Tris is like a normal girl-to an extent. She is trying to figure out who she is and where she belongs. In the time she lives, she has to decide which faction to live in and how to handle being different. I feel like she is a strong character and (added bonus) there is no love triangle. Four was a bit odd. He had his swoon-worthy moments, but for the most part he was kind of stand-offish. I didn't entirely see their connection, but it still works.

The story was interesting and while (the first tim
