I went into this book not knowing too much about it. And while I enjoyed the concept of the book, I wasn't entirely invested in it from the beginning. This book repeats a lot of tropes that are repeated often in YA - chosen one, girl who thinks she's unattractive but isn't, makeover scene, male BFF, (view spoiler) and so on. And while I don't mind seeing these on their own (or in a way that's different than usual), this book featured many of them at once. I ...more

This book Blown me away.
I read this in a day!
This book is amazing.From the characters to the monsters, I enjoyed every part of it.
Oh, I also totes ship Mal and Alina.

Easy to read and fast paced, but really???? Sis chose Mal??? Bruh.
Alina was also really annoying lmao, I couldn’t stand her at parts. Mal too. Literally die. Sis he ain’t worth it.
If villain bad why sexy?
Anyways I’m in a reading slump rn ahahahah
