When they are transferred to a new station, for the first time, Lillian has friends her own age group. Life is idyllic even though very sheltered - but of course, she knows no other. Very soon though, her life starts to change as her mother is taken ill. When she gets the news that her mother died, she has no idea that her idyllic life - the only life she knows - will never be the same again....
