What Members Thought
This book was outside the genre I normally read but I was totally captivated from the first page. The major is adorable, as is Mrs Ali and the cast of characters keeps one turning the page. A quiet book, beautifully written and well worth second and third reads.
What a drab book! The book has nothing new to offer in neither plot or narration or background.The story was nothing new,, the treatment same.
At many times I kept on wondering how on earth this book was on my list!

Not the fastest moving story, but still very enjoyable to read. Major Pettigrew's wry sense of propriety and humor kept me smirking and even, occasionally, chortling right out loud. Action does pick up in the end, with a twist that I was not at all expecting.
