buddy read my love, Karen in the Buddy Reads Group! thank you so much for buddy reading this with me, sis, otherwise this would've sat on my shelf for the next 5 years haha ;)
this was good fun! super entertaining, really easy-to-read and addictive writing, and a wonderful retelling of the classic Cinderella tale; this was everything i needed right now. i didn't love the romance as much as i hoped, but it was still super cute and the rep was wonderful! light and easy and the perfect break betwee ...more

a critique on homophobia and misogyny? sounds like my kind of book! unfortunately, that's all that this book was. it spent too much time forcing its themes down its readers' throat than actually developing an enjoyable well fleshed-out book.
with a lack of world-building, character depth (they were bland and annoying), and not to mention the fact that everything in this book was so darn predictable, i do have to say i'm a tad bit disappointed. ...more

A strong premise that was unfortunately marred by nonexistent characterization, forced romance, and a juvenile writing style. This book had a lot of potential and it has the skeleton of a good story, but I found it to be lacking in every way. I do think I’ll give Bayron’s second book a chance however, because these all can be solved with a little practice.
