What Members Thought
A funny book about a man who has been released from a mental institution and is trying to become a better person so that he can get his wife back.
I thought that overall, the book is a 3 star read, but because Quick nailed it about what's it like to be a diehard Eagles fan and to attend an Eagles home game, I bumped it up to 4 stars. This reason is also why I am now looking forward to seeing the movie, too.
Quick, you get me man!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Today was a strange day. I started this book in the afternoon, and stayed up till half eleven to finish it. I sat in the sun to read a book on my kindle for the first time this year - enough sunshine to do it at last thank god - and also, wow, reading a kindle in the sun really IS everything I'd hoped for. I read a friend on Facebook being generally cross about rape jokes and defriending a boy who basically said some women do dress inappropriately, and then discussed my own experiences on her co

This is one of those books that gets all sorts acclaim and people love. While I didn't hate the book I sure didn't love it either. My first issues were the charactets. I didn't feel anything for them. not love or hate. nothing. I had no vested interest in the outcome in their lives. I had a hard time following their motivations. I didn't believe they would or act the way they did. Even when given disclosure I felt disatisfied. who I did like was cliff therapist. He is an ideal for a therapist I

2 stars. But it's a "strong" 2 stars, because although I didn't think this was all that great, I did find it reasonably entertaining.
I went into this cold, which is unusual for me, but not unheard of. All I knew was that it involved mental illness (thus fulfilling a reading challenge category), and it had been made into a movie with Bradley Cooper (because I could see Bradley Cooper's face staring at me from the thumbnail for the digital audiobook I downloaded). I would have enjoyed this audiobo ...more

When I first started this, I thought Pat's voice reminded me a lot of Charlie in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which I didn't really like much. But the more I read on, the more I liked Pat. I found him charming and dear. I adored the ending, which bumped the book from three to four stars. I think I like this book even better now that I've seen how they bastardized it for the movie. Bradley Cooper did a great job, and I love me some Jennifer Lawrence, but I did not like the changes to the stor
