What Members Thought
When The Hunger Games became popular, a great hue and cry was raised: "this is a rip-off of Battle Royale!" So yeah I was curious. I finally got around to checking this out. Clunky, wooden writing, rather dull plot, does not feel like The Hunger Games at all, and is not nearly enough to hold my attention through the entire book, not when I've got hundreds of other books crying out to be read. I DNF'ed. Life is too short to waste on boring books.

Stole this one for a little while over Christmas from my little bro. Only got to read 50 pages though before I had to leave. Seemed kinda cool...very violent. Borrowed it from the library several years later. My thoughts haven't changed...they let 12 year olds read this?

Much better as a comic or a movie. As a book, it really just feels like 550 pages of slaughter by characters one never really gets to know.
One of my favorite novels of all time. That's all I have to say about that. A gamechanger of a thriller.
