What Members Thought
I enjoyed this book. The translation is certainly of its time (not sure what I may have missed or been misled on with the Victorian translation), but it's also pleasantly lyrical, and I find that I enjoy ancient Indian poetry for its poesy.
The content is familiar both from learning about sects of Hinduism, and also is very reminiscent in many ways of other early monotheistic religions and their tenants. Worth reading for anyone who wants some insight into Hinduism and its early formation. ...more
