If you can get past the religious brainwashing and the obnoxious attitude of Crusoe you might actually enjoy this, while treating it as an entertaining survival story or one man's spiritual journey. I would personally be more interested in analysing the colonialist aspect and the treatment of other nations during Defoe's time instead of trying not to fall asleep while reading. Great source material for essays and such but the pamflet style didn't hit me that well. ...more
