After reading so many romances I was thrown off by the first-person POV of the priest and the atheist chocolatier. Lol
I came in knowing I'd like this, I brought it to a beach vacation after all.

Cartea spune povestea lui Vianne Rocher care își crește singură fetița de 6 ani, pe Anouk și alături de care se stabilește într-un mic orășel din Franța. Aici femeia deschide un magazin plin de ciocolată în care reușește să îi atragă pe locatari,stârnind antipatia pastorului Reynaud.

Vianne este înconjurată de un mister profund și nici pânã la finalul cărții nu am putut să imi dau seama dacă era într-adevăr vrăjitoare sau magia la care apela este o simplă metaforă. Interesant este și modul său de ...more

Such a fun book! A little overdone, at times, but in a heady and pleasant sort of way. It's a sensual book -- lots of descriptions of foods, of colors, of sounds and people. It was a lovely book to indulge in for an evening.

Also, the book is definitely better than the film. ...more
