I have to date read one other Graham Greene novel, The Quiet American. As such I had far different ideas if the style and context of this novel. Unlike the dark and serous mood of The Quiet American, Our Man in Havana is far lighter and even humorous in many parts. Even through the tragedies befallen those around the book's main character, Mr. James Wormold, the book remained light with a tinge of suspense. Slow to develop, but I was hooked by the end. Having spent much time in Havana, it was fun reading about the familiar streets, bars, and squares. In fact, I bought my copy in the Plaza de Armas book fair in 2013.

Easy, quick read, with a few quotable lines I am jotting down to remember. The ending feels very Hollywood.
