This was such a good book to read in the light of what is happening with racial unrest in our country now. The story is historical fiction - the protagonist is Cotton Malone who is on his first case for the Justice Dept in his late twenties. He is tracking down a conspiracy and incriminating papers on the death of MLK. There are many story lines - and half of the book is him running away from "bad guys" who are shooting at him and want to kill him . I found that mildly interesting. but what I fo ...more

I read this for a book club. Only the last 75 pages were really interesting. Lots of fighting and unnecessary violence.

I was pleasantly surprised that it has something in common with the Harry Potter series.
