Not what I expected, but enjoyable. Most scenes are like being a fly on the wall eavesdropping on conversations between characters you barely know (if at all) with sudden hops to new locations and times to do it all over again. Lots of Ciri. Very very few monsters.
The audiobook was a pleasure to listen to. My fave bits: Yennefer's sarcastic letter to Geralt, Triss scolding the witchers, and the barge scene.

These are enjoyable books. They're tongue-in-cheek -- much less serious than the show -- and have plenty of laugh and snark over while also having plenty of good action. If you like action fantasy books, this is well worth the read.
