What Members Thought
I learned that I could never be an anthropologist (the reactions I had to Akha practices were not kind or accepting), I also learned a bit about tea and its many variations and medicinal properties. The story itself wasn't as captivating, and the abrupt end also surprised me a bit. If the endless coincidences and the abrupt end hadn't annoyed me so much, it might have been a 4 star book.

Not her best. I lost track of all the times I rolled my eyes or said "Oh, please....." Still, while it strained the limits of credulity, I did feel compelled to finish and parts were good.
