I had been wanting to read this book for a while so when it was my turn for book club I chose it! I believe this was Wecker's first novel and she started off with a bang. It's set in 1899 NYC and involves the immigrant communities, fairy tale/fantasy, and looks back in time. There are multiple plots that eventually tie together. Excellent stuff, very creative, well-researched and a cracking good read to boot. Can't recommend highly enough and would love to see this filmed.
