I'm definitely glad I revisited this particular book in the Dark is Rising series. I remember being scared by it and not liking it as much as the first two books.
I can see why. It is definitely darker, and the Wild Magic is creepy. And the Drews kids are kinda jerks to Will.
But again, I'm glad I reread it so I could look at it again as part of the series, and with a greater understanding of where events are taking the characters. And with more sympathy for Simon, Barney, and Jane. and more sympa ...more

All of Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising Series is awesome. I love them all.
