Reread - As I read this trilogy when it was first published in the mid 2000s, I wanted dive back in so that could read the second set of Mistborn books that starts with Alloy of Law.
It’s such a fast paced wild ride and I loved every bit of this world as much as the first. I’ve read several Sanderson books at this point and his writing has definitely evolved since this series, but there’s something about Vin, Kelsier, and the crew that makes these books so special. 5/5 ⭐️

This fantasy novel didn't really grab me. It had some interesting ideas about alchemical-style magic and reasonably interesting characters, but the writing was somewhat clunky, and the story itself lacked punch.
