This. Book. Is. Good. It is original and well written. It has mystery, friendship, life, death. Although, at first it came off as kind of two- dimensional in a sense that the characters seemed more like ideas of characters, the same way that the main character, Q, wasn't seeing Margo, but an idea of Margo. That, in fact was one of the reasons that the overall book is good. After reading this book, it instantly became one of my favorites. I love how Green explores the complexity of people and how easy it is to let our ideas or definitions of them keep us from seeing who they are. How we perceive others and ourselves says so much about us and them, and I just love how it turns this "quirky" girl whom Q idealizes into a flawed, confusing, complex person. I have been on a streak of John Green books. The Fault In Our Stars, Looking For Alaska, and An Abundance of Katherines. I have to say, this is up there with my favorites out of this four originals. The book keeps you hooked in towards the end and only lingers a little bit in the end. I found myself with the feeling of adrenaline while reading this book that I haven't gotten since reading Scott Westerfeld's Uglies series. Done. Again. I didn't remember the ending only that it was sad at some level.. I become a tiny bit miserable when I read this book. But in a good way. It is hilarious and brilliant. ...more
