I love this series. I love the voice of the narrator - being male for example - and the setting of being in what would be considered the classic American South. The characters are absolutely outstanding, and have all the quirks that you love, and are strong enough, each and every one of them, to carry this story.
The plot is so simple - it's very Romeo and Juliet with doomed love between Ethan and Lena. She's not mortal, and as it turns out can't even be physically close to her without nearly dyi ...more

It took me a while to really "get it" with this book, but once I caught on, I flew through it. The confusion was part of the intrigue, though, because the reader was finding out things right along with Lena and Ethan.
