This was very action packed and suspenseful. More than I was expecting. From the very beginning I liked Kale. He was awkward in a funny and endearing way. I loved seeing Dez teach him all the new things about the world that he didnt know. But unfortunately Kale was also my biggest issue with this book. It is hard to believe that someone raised by Denazen could have turned out as nice and sweet as Kale. Or that someone as nice and sweet as Kale could ever have done the things Denazen made him do.

Great, face-paced story from the very beginning! I believe this is Jus Accardo's first novel and she is off to a great start. I can't wait to read the next Denazen novel.
Dez is a great strong main character, and loves to cause her father grief, but she has a sensitive side as well. She has never got along with her father much since she was young, so making him mad is her favorite past time, then she finds out just who her father is and she is ready to make his life even more miserable.
