Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes is a high fantasy for young adults. Similar to the writing style of George R.R. Martin or even R.A. Salvatore, I was quickly intrigued by the story line and the world that Rhodes created. The cover is gorgeous, promising so much content relayed through imagery

Game of Thrones for the young adult audience this is not! The only thing relatively GoT was the overwhelming amount of different points of views that got me super confused about the whole storyline. Unlike GoT I did not get into these characters and I was overly disappointed with the progression of the storyline as a whole. Might read the second in the series but only because I like torturing myself through reading.

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes has been on my radar since it first released. Booktube and the blogosphere have been recommending this series for years and I finally decided to give it chance. I feel like I shouldn’t have read it now because I did not love this book.
