The greatest books I’ve ever read on the subject of drugs, evolution and culture. I’ve thought a a lot about some of the ideas McKenna shares in this book, but this book brought it all together.
McKenna was way ahead of his time as he anticipated modern developments and provides the only real solution to our modern problems. This book opened my mind to the "stoned ape" theory. In my mind this is the most plausible reason for the speed at which our evolution as a species took place.
