This line made me compare the story with that of the famous Doctor Faustus. In some ways, the two characters represent very much the same ideal. Battling with oneself and the temptation to sin.
This book took a minute to get interesting. The character Lord Henry annoyed me to death and the inclusion of life philosophy felt too much at times. But this novel definitely had many credible moments that kept me reading on. ...more
