This line made me compare the story with that of the famous Doctor Faustus. In some ways, the two characters represent very much the same ideal. Battling with oneself and the temptation to sin.
This book took a minute to get interesting. The character Lord Henry annoyed me to death and the inclusion of life philosophy felt too much at times. But this novel definitely had many credible moments that kept me reading on. ...more

Everyone raves about this and I enjoyed the idea of it. This was rather boring but did create a thoughtfulness. The dialogue was the strongest part of this so perhaps I may prefer Wildes plays better
It’s most definitely THE book. As its protagonist, this book exerts a magnetic attraction which makes its status totally understandable. It is a re-read must. But not my favorite book of all time nonetheless
Great read! Interested to see the opinions and analysis of others about this book. I feel like there is so much to unpack in this story.
