After over three years I finally got through the entirety of this thing. I reviewed it pretty extensively over at https://futurescribe.wordpress.com so go check out my Book by Book review.
It was worth it to look both at the sections of the Bible I thought I knew and at those, I had never read. It gave me a greater appreciation for the history and theology of the thing, without converting me in any significant way. I will warn though, it is a slog.
