What Members Thought
Not my favorite Woolf novel but regardless, she stuns any reader with her language and fiery opinions. She paints a portrait that penetrates the coarsest reader and leaves an imprint that lasts a lifetime.
While there are some beautifully written passages, I'm still scratching my head at much of it. Ms. Woolf moves very quickly in her thought processes, and I had trouble keep up. Such is "stream of consciousness" prose. A second read would definitely be called for, but I've already embarked on the second volume of the trilogy, "To the Lighthouse".

What an extraordinary way of writing, of getting into people's minds, of going from one season to the other, of making me feel every line of it as if I was part of this stream of conciousness that I so adore in VW! I feel thankful. Thankful for being able to dive into her wonderful world of mesmerizing thoughts and lines. Thanks Virginia...one more time!
