Shelves: kick-ass-heroine, adults, lol-hilarious, hot-sex-scenes, fantasy, action, romance, paranormal, kick-ass-hero, mythical-creatures-and-other-beings

This book was great! I had so much fun reading this. It has everything I love in a book: romance (+ hot sex scenes, which were over too quickly if you ask me), lots of action, all these different creatures and also characters that were so much fun.

The story begins with Pia, she is being blackmailed by her shithead ex-boyfriend and she has to steal something from probably.. okay, well most certainly the most dangerous Dragon in the world. Pia succeeds and of course Dragos the dragon goes all ball This book was great! I had so much fun reading this. It has everything I love in a book: romance (+ hot sex scenes, which were over too quickly if you ask me), lots of action, all these different creatures and also characters that were so much fun.

Pia succeeds and of course Dragos the dragon goes all ballistic when he finds out someone had the nerve to actually steal from him. So naturally, he goes after the thief to punish her ;)

Even though Pia was a pretty likable character, she had humor and she kicked lots of butt, I couldn't really connect with her. I did admire her courage and that she had actually brain and was acting pretty smart in tough situations. But I think she should have stood up for Dragos even more when he was acting like a cave man.
That was probably the only thing that actually bothered me in this book, the way Dragos kept treating Pia. He was waaay too possessive and commanding. And jealous, man he was the jealous type. I also didn't like how he talked to Pia sometimes, he said stuff like: ''You're a stupid woman or you little shit'' I was ready to rip the guys head off! You don't talk to woman like that and I don't care if you're an ancient Dragon or not, it's not funny! There are lot alpha males in books that behave like dickheads, but they all seem to learn about it and start treating their women better. I don't think Dragos changed really that much. And then when Pia told him she loves him, he didn't even say it back, he was just like : '' I know '' WTF!!? Yeah yeah I know, he is the ancient Dragon who has never loved anybody yada yada yada.. Still, would if kill him to be a little sweeter and well.. more loving? Don't get me wrong, Dragos wasn't a complete asshole, he obviously cared about Pia very much and wanted to keep her safe and happy. But yeah, I try not think about that his faults too much, because otherwise this book was such a fun read:)

I looved many of the other characters, like Tricks for example ! She was hilarious and feisty XD That wrestling over that napkin in that restaurant made me laugh out loud ! I can't wait to read her book:) ...more

Ok first and foremost if you are wondering wtf kind of book this is then I'm here to help. Wyr kind is basically like a shifter they have human shapes as well as their other shape, interesting stuff. Then there are apparently Elves and Fae as well as Witches and magic called Power. Good stuff. Right? Moving right along Pia, which is an interesting name btw, stole something from Dragos the biggest baddest biggest Power there is, or so it seems. The Elder Races as they are called make up their own ...more

Actually ★★★1/2 (but just not enough to bump up). I had some problems with certain plots points. Also, I wasn't too enamored with Pia, the female MC. But dragon and gryphon shifters??? *growls*

Thea Harrison has created an enticing new world to discover. Highly recommend for paranormal/UF fans! ...more
