I freaking loved this book. Temeraire and Laurence are so cozy characters, as are the other dragons and their riders. All are characters I learned to love, through boot camp and battles. It's a great story with a brilliant premise and I cannot wait till Peter Jackson finishes with those Hobbit-movies and gets to this, because it's going to take people's breath away.

This is an immensely entertaining read! A thoroughly satisfying romp through dragon inhabited England during the Napolionic Wars. The focus is on world discovery and not the actual intricacies of warfare. But do not fret, several battles do occur and are well described they're just not the main portion of the book.
