Shelves: own, alt-history, steampunk, espionage-spy
This was a pleasant and engaging read; and much more to my liking than Tregillis' last book - Something More Than Night. The world-building isn't derivative of anything else I've read and in fact makes some interesting choices that point to fertile territory to explore. This is alternative history, but not in the mode of Flint or Turtledove. The steampunk elements are there, but not as tiring to me as in some other books I've read.
