în sfârșit citesc o distopie care continuă proiectul lui orwell și se ridică la valoarea literară a lui 1984!
I read this book when I was reading Persepolis and felt both the books were talking about the same thing, just that this book took it to extremes. The writing was great, so descriptive that I could imagine everything about that dystopian society clearly in my mind. But one of the major issues I had was missing quotation marks and the fact that it is in first person narration. Why wouldn't a person use quotation marks for conversations?! At least a year after I read this, I still remember it being very, very good. I didn't like Atwood when I first tried her work as a teenager. Now I think I just couldn't appreciate it yet, because this is brilliant. Probably 4.5 stars
