What Members Thought
I wanted to read this classic dystopia to get into the Amazon Prime original show. I found that the book at an uneven pace and does not really pick up speed until it reaches half of the story.
Like 1984, it is unique. Unlike 1984, it is poetic and is beautiful. Everything that should be said about this book has already been said, and more eloquently, than I could ever express. This book is some ways is more frightening to me than some of the other dystopian novels I’ve read, with perhaps the exception of 1984. Powerful, thought provoking, unblinking in its examination of where misogynistic thoughts can lead, absolutely chilling.
