The first chapter begins with the love concerns of a teenager, which, for me, is a bad start (I don't prefer young adult). However, from the second and subsequent chapters, the story becomes increasingly more interesting, largely due to the presentation of some very well-made characters. Throughout the novel, you learn more and more details about them, along with a sufficiently interesting plot (an impossible grand robbery). And from then on, the action starts and doesn't stop...

This book literally has it all. I asked for fraught romances or heist novels with strong female leads, and this recommendation hit it out of the park. Don’t let anyone let you read the other Grishaverse stuff first
I read Six of Crows right after Book 1 of Shadow and Bone, and was blown away by how much better it was. I was enthralled from the first page to the last. I'm in love with all the textured, damaged characters and their witty banter. This might be the best fantasy book I've ever read.
