Reread thoughts: Lowering it to four stars. It doesn't deserve a full fathom five, but I still liked it. Lola did get on my nerves (a lot) and I did want to punch her a few times. But I loved all the side characters from the Nancy Drew obsessed b.f.f. to Lola's dads this one had a lot going for it. I have something planned for my reread but it's not going to be a top ten list like I did with Anna. I'll link the post when I'm finished.

WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW. Review Finished!!

Seriously, Lola and the Boy Next Door was just the right book that I needed. Lately I haven't been able to get into any book I pick up. However, when I started this I was glued. It's a worthly companion novel to Anna and the French Kiss.

I love Stephanie Perkins! I don’t care if other people find it cheesy, but this book makes me like Steph more. Her books make me happy and put a smile on my face after reading it. The characters in this book are all wonderful and adorable especially the main protagonist, Lola. I love her crazy costumes, wacky wigs and her cheerful personality. She doesn’t care what other people would say about her as long as she’s living her life the way she wanted it to be. And that’s the spirit!

Honestly, when I first started this I really didn't think I was going to like it. I didn't like Lola. She was a little too out there for me. Then I went on goodreads to see the reviews and it seemed that everyone liked it so I stuck with it and I ended up liking it way more than I thought I would. Can't wait for the next one.
