There's a time when every girl doubts herself - whether she's special, unique, smart, attractive and everything her parents made her believe she was - and Lola goes through the same period and overcomes it. Stephanie Perkins has created an awesome and unique character whose personality stands out.

Lola and the Boy Next Door is much much better than Anna and the French Kiss! I cannot wait to read the next novel! ...more

Not quite appealing as Anna and the French Kiss but still it’s an engaging read.
Lola has been clandestinely in love with her neighbor, Cricket, who astonishingly has the similar sentiment with her. But Lola has a boyfriend. So basically from there you can presume what the story is all about.
