I don't know why teachers would make kids read a book about America written by someone with so little clarity. In the World According to Zinn, Americans (especially THE RICH ) are responsible for all the bad things that have happened in the last 2 centuries.If you believe as he does that America has been a net bad for the world, then by all means read this book. An interesting read, as it fleshes out parts of historical eras you might not have otherwise heard about. Honestly though, this is a book really geared for high school kids or those who have recently entered college. You know, the types who might be prone to think that their history books are written by "the man" to hide the "true" history contained in Zinn's tome.
