Deze klassieker – die ik enkel 'kende' van de titel en de klassieke filmscène – was dus helemaal niet wat ik verwachtte, als ik al wat verwachtte. Ik bedoel: die filmscène waarin Dr. Frankenstein zijn 'monster' (in de roman 'mijn demon') tot leven wekt in een bliksemende nacht is in de originele roman maar een bijzin. Veel meer gaat het om het drama erná. Het is gewoon een gothic novel, dus sterke psychologie en wat duisternis – en zeker geen horror. Maar wat een fantastische roman dit dus! ...more

Fantástico!
Poderia dar 4* porque a autora torna a sua narrativa cansativa em algumas partes da história e só desejamos que aquele capítulo acabe.
Poderia dar 3* porque algumas partes não fazem muito sentido se quisermos ser rigorosos.

Mas, who cares?

No final a história valeu todos esses aspectos menos bons. Foi uma leitura que gostei muito e que aconselho toda a gente a ler. Faz-nos pensar muito sobre várias temáticas, principalmente a educação, o preconceito e a exclusão social.
